US shares sold in the Canadian version

I work primarily in Canadian dollars, but when I sell all the shares of a stock in US dollars, the Investment Performance report (by security) always leaves a balance of a few cents at the "end market value" and these shares remain on the report year after year even though the account shows that there are no more shares. Is there a way to eliminate these balances so that the shares disappear from the Investment Performance report the year after all shares are sold?

What happens if you change that Sell transaction to a "Sell All".

It's not apparent that this is a USD/CAD issue, but rather it looks like a tiny fractional share left over in the account.

I tried to sell all but same result. It happens only with US shares never on canadian. Almost each US share sold left few cents and i can't purge them.

OK, next ideas. The shares are USD, but what's the currency of the account that holds them?

USD shares should only be in a USD denominated account, and CAD shares in a CAD account.

And, did you hold only whole shares? Or whole and fractional? Was this a stock? Or a fund?

They are US shares in US account only. I have only whole shares in all accounts (except for one US fund). Almost transactions are stocks but i have one US money market fund that shows 0.02$ value after all is sold.
