LPL Financial web connect symbol names?

I've been using web connect (file download) from LPL financial for a couple years. I never thought to ask, what are people doing about the symbol and security names? I get

(###) symbol [###] format for my downloads, that results in this mess in my holdings:

Does EWC+ work for them yet? No way I'm going to experiment.

I found that I needed to edit each security and use the "Lookup…" it found the full name for all of them.
