Issue downloading from bank

I've been unable to download transactions from BAC for over a week. The error message in Quicken is "Quicken is currently unable to verify this financial institution, please try again later. Ive been downloading from BAC for literally years. What's happened?

Suggestions, solutions?

What is BAC? Is that Bank of America?

I am in the same boat as you. A reddit feed said Quicken knows of the issue and is working on a fix but I have not confirmed that with Quicken.

When you do TOOLS, Account List, what shows in the "Transactions Download" column adjacent to your BofA accounts?

What shows as the "Financial Institution"?

Thanks for the suggestion. When I looked at the account list, it does show BAC and says "improve connection". That appears to want to set up one-step update which I don't want to do. Not sure where to go to now. I also can't get out of that screen and can't close Quicken. Frustrating!

That means, you are now in a Catch-22 situation. Bank of America no longer supports transaction downloading using QFX files (even though their webpages haven't been updated yet to reflect that change).

Setting up One Step Update for your bank downloads, any bank, IMHO, is not a security risk. Many banks are upgrading their security functions to make life more difficult for hackers.
I've been using One Step Update for decades myself, without much in the way of problems. Having a few of my transactions stored in an intermediary encrypted Quicken (or Intuit) server … I don't see that as a risk.
