How can I correct the errors Quicken introduced today after requesting me to update Fidelity connect

Updated Fidelity connection after a request from Quicken today, but now holdings are incorrect. I have duplicate new investments with no cost basis data and the old investments are without updated latest transactions.

I need clear instructions how to correct this error.

This is for Quicken Classic Mac, not Windows!!!

With much effort and trial and error I was able to find and delete some duplicate transactions and adjustments that were made by Quicken. Then I merged the duplicate investments and got back to a correct alignment with Fidelity.

Note that simply merging the duplicate investments was not enough because of the duplicate transactions and adjustments.

BTW… I submitted a problem report for this issue with sanitized data file included.

Can you restore from a backup created before you made the change … and then delay/defer such until you're forced to make the change.

I'm not changing until I ABSOLUTELY have to.
