Can the register font be resized in Quicken 2000 Deluxe for Windows?

I've been using Quicken 2000 Deluxe for Windows since 2000, as it has all the functionality I need. While the product has performed consistently well over the last 25 years, my vision has started to decline a bit. Almost all of my time on Quicken is spent manually entering or adjusting transactions in the register. My question: Is there a way to make the register easier to view? I'm hoping there's a place where I can adjust the default font size and possibly set it to Bold as well.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion, even if you're not sure it will work. I realize that not everyone has a copy of Quicken 2000, so I'll be grateful for any feedback I receive.

In Quicken 2000 Deluxe for Windows, you cannot directly change or resize the register font from within the program’s settings — that option wasn’t introduced until later versions of Quicken.

However, you might try this workaround and change the Windows system font size

Quicken 2000 uses the Windows system font settings for most interface text, including the register.

    1. Right-click on the desktop → select "Properties" (or Display Settings in newer Windows versions).
    2. Go to the "Appearance" tab.
    3. Under Item, choose Icon, Menu, or Message Box — these affect how text displays in older applications like Quicken.
    4. Adjust the Font size (e.g., from 8pt to 10pt or 12pt).
    5. Click Apply and restart Quicken.

⚠️ Note: This will change the text size system-wide, not just in Quicken.

I don't remember if this exists in Q2000, but have you tried VIEW, Use Large Fonts?

Also, your WINDOWS, Settings, "Ease of Access" options might help.
