I validated and made copy of my Q file to correct broken downloads but now what do I do

I followed a suggestion on another Quicken Community post to fix my broken download from Wells Fargo, including running the validation and super validation on my Q data file and then making a copy of that file and using that copied file to reconnect to Wells Fargo. This all worked very well - Wells Fargo now downloading correctly - but now my question is do I save the new (copied) file back over my original Q data file and also what do I do about the long list of "bad" transactions Q identified in the validation process - can I ignore them as long as I am happy with the numbers appearing in the new file? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what worked for you!

If the copied file is working correctly and your Wells Fargo downloads are now functioning as expected, you can go ahead and continue using that new (copied) file moving forward.

Regarding the list of “bad” transactions noted in the validation report—those are typically items Quicken identified and corrected during the validation process. The report is mainly informational. As long as your account balances and transactions look accurate in the new file, you can safely proceed.
