Multiple accounts at Fidelity

I have been using quicken for 30+ years. Both my wife and I have 403b accounts at Fidelity through our employer. As those who know now Fidelity used the same account number and this caused issues when downloading transactions to quicken the work around has always been to remove both accounts from one step update. Then manually change the account number in ONE account to a dummy number, download the OTHER account, and then switch the process for the other account. A royal pain in the rear but at least it worked. Today Fidelity required me to reauthorize the accounts. After doing so the account number in both accounts reads XXX#### (# being the last 4 of the actual account number). Unfortunately, there is no way to change this any longer as the Account Number field is greyed out and not selectable.

So my question is did this new way of connecting correct the old issues or not? If not what is the work around to fix the multiple accounts a fidelity issue. Or is it now time to toss quicken.

When you do TOOLS, Account List, what shows in the "Transaction Download" column adjacent to these 403(b) accounts.

My guess is that both are showing as being connected, which is why you can't change the account numbers.

If I'm correct, disconnect both, and then go back to your prior process.
