Currency in Canada

Seeing as Quicken Classic Business & Personal (Canadian/Mac) doesn't see fit to offer the Business bits in Canadian currency, I have now become a refugee to the Windows (Canadian) version.

I have exported my QFX file from the Mac side, and imported it into the Windows side. In a bewildering move, even though the accounts themselves all correctly assigned themselves in CDN, the headers in the navigation bar on the left ("Banking", "Property") all display in USD. My laptop is in Canadian, as is the instance of Windows within Parallels that I'm using to run the Windows version of Quicken. I have double checked, and the version I have is definitely the Canadian one. (The about page reads: Quicken Classic Business & Personal | Version R64.30, Build 27.1.64.30, Edition: Canada)

WHY are the headers taking purely Canadian accounts, PERFORMING A CURRENCY EXCHANGE, and showing me what the result would be in US? I have combed through all the settings / configuration / preference options that I can find, and I cannot explain this behaviour.

I don't need ANYTHING in American dollars, and I'm seriously beginning to wonder if Quicken wants Canadian customers at all, given the difficulty of having the proper currency appear after trying two completely different platforms.

Any advice out there?

The latest version of Quicken Windows Canadian is R63.22, R64.30 is the latest US version. Somehow you have got the US version.

Since the Canadian branch was merged back into the main/US branch a few years ago I believe the the “Edition: Canada” in the about box comes from the Quicken Id(subscription) and the data file not which version of Quicken Windows is actually installed.

Try uninstalling and installing from here:
