I was able to migrate Merrill just fine, but doing Fidelity causes me incorrect balances in 2 of the 3 accounts I have there. The brokerage account appears to be good but the 2 401K type accounts are not. They have inflated balances with a bunch of manual transactions added for "Adjust balance to remove cash". I totaled up those manual transactions and it's not equal to the amount that is inflated, it is less in both cases. I think the problem may be because all of these manual ones date back exactly to when valid transactions showed up as Buy/Sell instead of Add/Remove shares.
Should I restore to backup and attempt to change all those to Add/Remove? If so how can you change a whole bunch of them instead of doing one by one?
How do I tell Quicken those should always be Add/Remove instead of Buy/Sell?
What does the "Contains no cash transactions" option do in the 401K account settings?
Thanks!
