Problems related to Fidelity's connection change

I'm using Quicken Classic Deluxe for Windows (Win11). My Fidelity IRA has been unbalanced for about 4 months while waiting on the Fidelity Quicken connection issue to be resolved. At this time, all I see is a cash balance — no holdings.
I'm considering deleting the Quicken account since there are no cash consequences that have to be considered in the loss of historical information. Has anyone tried this to restore function of the downloads into Quicken?
