Error OL-297A Downloading from Merrill Lynch. Is Quicken now Forcing DC--> EWC+?
I've been away for the past 10 days and have not attempted any downloads. Tried today and I'm getting an OL-297A error - "Quicken is unable to establish an internet connection". Does this mean that Quicken is now forcing the transition from DC to EWC+?
I'm not getting a prompt to convert when I get the error message. In fact, I'm still getting the "remind me later" message when launching OSU.

Hello @mrzookie,
Thanks for reaching out!
The forced cutover from Direct Connect to Express Web Connect+ for Merrill Lynch has already passed. I did notice that you’re still running R64.25, which is likely why you’re not seeing the prompt to migrate.
Please update Quicken to the latest version of R64.35 by going to Help > Check for Updates.
Once updated, launch a One Step Update again, and see if you receive the prompt to migrate your account.
Thank you!

I bit the bullet and did the transition last night (I haven't upgraded to 64.35 yet - one change at a time). It went pretty smoothly. No occurrences of dups, placeholders or security mismatches. All balances (6 accounts) are as they should be.
So far, so good. I received Div and Div adjustment txns in a brokerage acct, and Div/Reinvest txns in multiple IRA accounts with no problems. I haven't seen enough yet to know if cash is going to be handled correctly.
In the next few days, I'm expecting div reinvests (all accounts), MF rebates (multiple IRA accounts) and divs, buys, sells, mgmt fee withdrawals and transfers to/from BOA checking (multiple brokerage accounts). That ought to tell most of the tale. RMD withdrawals and associated tax payments, which are a little more complex, will come later.
One pleasant surprise is that Div/Withdraw/Add, the 3 transactions that ML sends when doing a Div Reinvestment are now combined into one (like Fidelity). That should save some work at month and year end. Hopefully, Cap Gains will work the same.

Hello @mrzookie,
Thank you for the detailed follow-up—I appreciate you sharing your results after completing the transition. I’m glad to hear that the migration went smoothly overall and that your account balances are looking accurate so far.
It’s also great feedback about the dividend reinvestments being combined into a single transaction—that’s definitely a welcome improvement! Please keep us posted on how things go as more transactions download over the next few days, especially regarding cash handling and capital gains.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience!
