Can't scan a receipt to attach to a transaction from Quicken.

I recently purchased a new HP computer with Windows 11. I have connected my computer to my printer/scanner. I can scan documents and printer reports from Quicken. My issue is that when I want to scan a receipt and attach it to a Quicken transaction, the source box does not show my scanner. I had no problem attaching receipts or documents directly to Quicken before. What is the issue here? Does this have anything to do with my computer having Windows 11?

You can, within Q, attach scanned documents … but there's no Scan function itself in Q.

You need to scan the document, save it to your computer, and then attach from the saved location.

BTW, attaching scans can result in Q file bloat. You might be better off by getting a document manager of some sort, saving the document there and referencing it from within Q.

Also, those scanned/attached documents can ONLY be viewed from within Q itself … so the attach function isn't particularly flexible
