Resolve IRR calculation Fidelity

I have a Fidelity Rollover IRA that I've been tracking in Quicken since late 2007. All the funds and securities are currently tracking correctly. While checking out the account I invoked the Reports > Investment Performance. Q popped up the message: Some IRR calculations are incomplete.

Looking further, I found the message was coming from the FDRXX Fidelity Cash Reserves MMF. This is because until 8/30/2025 Fidelity was treating the Core account balance as CASH in Quicken not a security and this was showing up in the Cash Balance in the Account register.

A report that include the transaction where I entered a Buy transaction for FDRXX on 9/1/2025 for the total Cash Balance of the account does not display the error because Fidelity started reporting Shares of FDRXX instead of cash.

I am looking for a way to resolve the IIR error message. What are the ways to resolve this for reports that don't include the Buy/Sell transactions for FDRXX? The register does have Div FDRXX transactions but they go to cash also.

Is that the exact text of the message you received? I don't recall ever seeing that in the Investment Performance Report. Perhaps you could post a screenshot of the message.

In the past the report would show a message if the IRR can't be calculated or is ridiculously large or small, more than 10,000% I think. What I am seeing in R64.35 is that it simply says NA if the IRR is not meaningful.

Because the handling of FDRXX has changed due to the Fidelity EWC+ conversion, I am seeing some odd results for that fund - 66.2% gain over the past 12 months. This is apparently because until recently it was recorded as paying dividends even though you held no shares.

I am also running R64.35. The issue is related to the way Fidelity has handled FDRXX in the past. Up until 8/30/2025 Fidelity was reporting dividends with no shares held, as you said.

Here is a screenshot of the message and the reason the message is generated:

After some research, the conclusion was if there's a fund that has NA in the Avg. Annual Return this message may be generate. If I hide Fidelity Cash Reserves the message does not occur. Also if I include all transactions on and after 9/1/2025 the message does not occur because that's when I changed the account Cash Balance to shares in FDRXX with a Buy transaction.

I could, of course, select to Don't show this again, but that would be too easy.😋

Just FYI for those curious or have encountered this.

These Div transaction add a share balance to the FDRXX fund. To clean-up the reports for the most recent history, I added Buy/Sell transactions to FDRXX for the appropriate fund cash transaction for the past years where I want clean Performance Reports.
