American Express refusing connections this morning
Not only is it refusing connections, I went to try a Reset, and it disconnected my Express Web Connect+ connection :-( It said try again later, so I guess they are down (or Quicken's connection is) for some reason…
DON'T DO A RESET - YOULL LOSE YOUR CONNECTION!!!!!

OK, this was a mess - I have 2 Amex credit card accounts - after about 30 minutes the one started working again, downloads etc.; but the other was disconnected. So I went through the setup to activate downloads - and Amex would not connect - after entering my user/pw on the browser page that opened, it gave an error sorry it cannot connect - contact Quicken.
I found a way that worked - KEEP THAT BROWSER WINDOW OPEN - then go to americanexpress.com, and log in. Keep it open. Now, try to activate downloads again - it will open a new tab on that same browser window, and since it's connected to Amex already, the linking of accounts works fine.

Hello @Don Awalt,
Thank you for taking the time to share these details and the workaround that helped you get reconnected—that’s helpful information for others who may be running into similar trouble with American Express.
Thank you!
