Getting bogus "please enter a valid amount"

Thank you for sharing your experience.
To clarify, are you saying when you reconcile using your bank statement, you try to enter the prior balance, and Quicken displays a message that you need to enter a valid amount?
This is interesting. Ensure you have both the prior balance and the ending balance amounts filled in before trying to proceed with the reconciliation.
