I am a new user to quicken. I use Classic for windows. I brought in my checking account and it now includes all transactions going back to April 2024. I dont need all of that information. I dont want to categorize all those transactions nor do I want to re-reconcile the bank account going back that far. I really want to start with September 25, 2025. How do I do that?

Easy. Make sure the account's register is sorted by ascending date (oldest at top). Click the first transaction you want to delete and shift-click the last transaction you want to delete. Those transactions should be highlighted. Right-click on them and choose Delete Transaction(s) or however it is worded in the menu (don't have it in front of me right now).

The downside is you lose the history of those transactions. Your choice whether to keep them or not.

One other thing, after deleting, you will need to adjust the Opening Balance to make the Current/Ending Balance at the bottom correct.

-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
    - Subscription Quicken - Win11 and QW2013 - Win11
