Wells Fargo: Bank Bill Pay double entry
I've been using Wells Fargo with Epayments and more recently Bank Bill Pay for 30 years. Until recently it was flawless. Two issues: 1) I would "Send" the payment either 30 days in advance for scheduled payments like rent or mortgage or input the payment when I received the bill from a creditor. Now, about a day before the payment is scheduled I get a notice that the "check was written outside of Quicken" and a new entry is placed in the register. If I don't accept it, things really get messed up, so it accept it and delete the transaction that Quicken added to my register. Very irritating. 2) Occasionally I make an error or a situation changes and want to cancel a scheduled payment. That ability is no longer available. Voiding the transaction simply voids it in the register. There is no way to cancel a scheduled payment once it is sent. I recently bounced a large check as a result. Please bring this back!

Hello @Billstopay,
Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this. To clarify, is the "check was written outside of Quicken" a downloaded transaction or a reminder (a reminder would typically have the clock icon or an orange pencil if it's been entered)? How do things get messed up if you don't accept it?
What is happening when you try to cancel a payment? Are you able to cancel by going to Tools>Online Center, payments tab? Do you see any error messages/codes when you try to cancel a payment?
I look forward to your reply!

Here's what I saw on the 17th when I entered the APS bill.
Then the request to accept on the 29th. See the notation just below "Downloaded Transactions (2)"
Then the 3rd screenshot of what happens when I accept. If I fail to accept, (If my memory serves me correctly) it prevented other transactions from downloading. Monday when those transactions are processed, they will match with the downloaded version of the transaction. Then I have duplicated transactions in the register. I can then delete one that is reconciled or the one that is properly categorized. If I don't delete one, I have the wrong balance in may account.
