Fidelity 403b mutual fund dividend reinvestments showing up as Dividend Income
Is the following part of the ongoing 'known issues with Fidelity?' My VBTIX dividend reinvestments have stopped matching and only show up as "dividend income." It also seems to be creating multiple VANG TOT BD MKT INST securities, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. I recently did a "merge". Do I need to do this again? What is going on?

Yes, it sound like issues with the switch to the new connection method.
And yes again about wanting to merge the VBTIX: This time when you merge, I suggest you go into the Security list, find that VANG TOT BD MKT INST name, add the VBTIX ticker symbol to it with a type of Mutual Fund. You can edit the name to get rid of the number (2,3,4, etc.)
Then, merge that with the older security, but use this new name going forward. This should prevent Quicken from seeing it as new in the future.
As far as the dividend reinvestments, it really doesn't matter if you have a single Reinvest Dividend transaction, or separate Dividend Income and a subsequent Buy transaction for the equivalent amounts. Both will accomplish the same.
At one point in this switchover, some people (as I did) with Dividend Reinvests simply showing the Income, but no subsequent buy. I simply typed in the buy transaction after reporting it as a bug.
I don't know if that has been resolved as I don't have that many dividend payments in the respective accounts. I know they squashed a lot of the conversion bugs in the past few months.

The recent dividends don't have a security associated with them though. I don't want to have to go back an manually figure out which dividend is from which security.

If you want your data to be correct, you will have to manually figure it out. There is no way around it-It's not like Quicken can make magical fixes to decipher these transx downloaded from Fidelity. And trust me, it will be a lot easier to correct it now versus dealing with a huge mess later.
Log into the Fidelity website and look at recent transaction history, and you should be able to quickly sort this out.

Thank you for your response. I know how to look at my transaction history. It seems I've been manually fixing Quicken/Fidelity transactions for three months now. I'm looking for assurances they will work in the future without having to manually edit each one every time.

Agreed, @phil -it has been frustrating 3 months with this switchover. Luckily, you and I know how to sort things out in the interim until all the fixes get applied. It was a mess in the beginning, but mostly smooth sailing in the past month for me.
From what I have witnessed here, fixes have quickly been applied and resolved most issues outside of needing the user to correctly merge funds to the new names. I don't know if the Dividend Reinvest has been resolved.-I haven't had any recently to check. But overall, things have gotten vastly better for most users.
What tends to slow fixes is that people are reluctant to Help:Report a Problem and send their data files/logs. Having those files is imperative for the devs so they can show the data provider (with evidence) an issue is occurring.
When you have these issues such as you are now, please use Help:Report a Problem to submit files.

Good to know I'm not alone. I've had this same problem with my Fidelity 403b account since the conversion as well. My Fidelity 401a account does not have this issue. FWIW, I have submitted the bug on Help:Report a Problem.
