Adding pdfs to register lines in Quicken Classic Premiere R64.35

I was unable to add some but not all pdfs to my Q Classic Premiere ver R64.35. I use FoxIt pdf reader. After trouble shooting with Quicken help and some extensive testing, I was able to definitively prove that if the pdf is open in foxit, Quicken will not accept the file. As soon as I close foxit, I can add the same file. I don't know if there's a similar problem with other pdf readers.

It has to do with Q wanting exclusive control of the doc, so it most likely pertains to all.

BUT, I have to mention that attaching docs into Q is a mixed blessing, at best. Any such docs can only be viewed from within Q and they cause incredible file bloat.

My recommendation is that you find a file/pdf management system (even Win File Mgr would work) and maintain a structured file regimen therein … and then just reference the location in you Q transaction memo field.

That way, you can view the docs without having to have Q open also.
