Inaccurate Downloads

I have a number of monthly expenditures that are captured in Quicken. For some reason, one of these defaults to a date much earlier this year and there is no way in the update to change the date. I end up noting the amount and payee and deleting the entry and then add it manually. Am I missing something here, since this is not optimal?

    Hello @Kent Kester,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I have some follow-up questions for you.

    • How long has this been happening?
    • Which financial institution is this transaction downloading from?
    • When you say it defaults to a date earlier in the year, what date is it going back to?
      • Did the same transactions happen on that day as well?
    • Where is your data file located?
    • Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like OneDrive, Dropbox, or Carbonite?

    Looking forward to your response.

I think you are saying that you are downloading transactions from a financial institution and the date that the financial institution has assigned to the transaction is not current. If I made a correct assumption, then I'd contact the financial institution tech support. Quicken doesn't assign dates to downloaded transactions.

@Kent Kester in addition to @Quicken Alyssa's questions, which download method are you using for this FI, Direct Connect/Web Connect/Express Web Connect?

Also, WHY are you unable to change the date of the transaction? How are you trying to do that and what happens?
