How do I remove a OSU error message caused by Franklin Templeton unavailability?
I have an ongoing problem of receiving an error message in OSU because the OSU is somehow attempting to connect to Franklin Templeton. I know that won't work, but I am very tired of seeing that error message.
I do have a Franklin Templeton account (for now), but it is not listed as being available in the OSU settings, so I cannot remove it from there. In the FT account Detail, the Online tab offers to set up download, but when I try to do that, Franklin Templeton is not listed as an available financial institution.
So I'm stuck with the error message. How do I get rid of it?

At the bottom of the One Step Update Summary screen, there's a checkbox "Show just the last update".
If that box is NOT checked, old error messages may display again, over and over.0

Could be data corruption of some sort. You've tried a Validate and Repair?
Many advise using Quicken's Copy feature first, then doing a Validate and Repair on the copy as Quicken's Copy actually rebuilds the database, eliminating "dead space" that accumulates from deleting transactions or accounts. Using that feature though does require reconnecting all your Quicken Accounts to accept downloads.
What is the actual error message? Have you looked at Quicken's FAQ's for that particular message to see if it has any suggestions as to why this is happening?

UKR got it. Checking that box removed the error message.
Thanks.

I just remembered why I do not like checking that box to show just the last update: I frequently want to know when the last updates of various accounts were done even if those accounts were not in the last update. That information is suppressed when that box is checked.
So, I'm still looking for a solution.
I have done a validate and repair. I do not want to do a copy — because I just spent over 30 minutes revalidating accounts due to a mess up on a restored file and I'm still not done.
The error is OL-297-A. I know why the error is occurring. Franklin Templeton is not cooperating with Quicken.
