Accounts Summary Report - Hide Closed Option

Add an option to hide Closed Accounts in the "Account Summary" report. Currently, the report includes all accounts, including Closed and Hidden. It does exclude accounts flagged as "Keep Separate", but then details from those accounts is lost from Net Worth and historical Spending reports.

This report would be great for providing a summary of all accounts for Estate Planning and for keeping a hard-copy record to place in a file with Estate Documents for an Executor/Attorney to know what accounts are out there.

The Accounts Summary report is one of the last remaining old reports from the predecessor software used as the core code for modern Quicken Mac. Over the years the developers built a new and more flexible reports engine which is used in most reports today. Instead of Accounts Summary, I suggest you use the Net Worth report. I expect some day they will remove the old Accounts Summy report from the program; I don’t think they will add any features to it since the Net Worth report is its replacement.

The Net Worth report allows you to select exactly which accounts you want to include. You could have one with just your current accounts and another if you wanted to list closed, hidden or separate accounts for any reason.

    Hello @eichmat,

Thank you for posing this idea.

Are you using both Quicken for Windows and Quicken for Mac? I can see you have used both in the past, and I just want to be sure this post is in the correct category, as your profile indicates you are a Windows user, but you have posted in a Mac category.

@jacobs, Thank you for providing helpful suggestions.

    Thank you.
