PNC - Quicken Direct Connect still not working as of 11/28/2025?

I am still not able to switch my connection type back to Direct Connect. I get the following error message: "Did you mistype your sign-in info? Please re-enter your credentials for PNC Bank - Direct Connect"

It's just a circular issue. I connect into Direct Connect using the PNC 4 digit PIN that they provided. It then accepts that PIN and asks that I set up a new PIN - one not used before. I do that (enter the same 4 digit PIN twice as instructed, but then get the error message mentioned above. It's been over 1 month now and this issue still not resolved.

    Thank you for letting us know that you're still encountering an issue connecting your PNC accounts by Direct Connect. To troubleshoot the issue, please try restoring a backup from before the problem started. If the issue persists in the newly restored file, then I recommend reaching out to PNC for further assistance.

    @Quicken Kristina that sounds like a horrible idea. This has been going on for over a month so I can't imagine re-entering everything since the last back up across all of my accounts reconciled through quicken. I am in touch with PNC - so far they've been useless.

    This is my second issue of a complete failure with Quicken Direct Connect; the first lasted ~2 months, and PNC is worthless and a waste of time to contact. I am looking to move to another bank.

    @Quicken Kristina Just tried again tonight following your latest instructions to back up quicken and then attempt to set up direct connect with PNC. Same error as usual when I get the message suggesting that I entered my credentials wrong. Last time you suggested we call quicken support - which I have done, and they simply say I need to talk to PNC. Just a big twisted circle of [Removed - Language].

    Does anyone get this error message? I was asked to enter a new 4 digit pin (twice), I get confirmation that my new 4 digit PIN meets all the requirements (get check marks for each requirement). Hit enter and then get this message:

    i’ve been having the same situation with direct connect since the end of October and it’s just one huge circle of information and I still can’t use the program…

    I have a question if I have a way of seeing my online banking information can I just use the quicken program as a register alone? With no regard for online activities ,and still generate reports, etc. or am I compounding the problem by adding information that hasn’t been downloaded, even though it’s accurate…
