• How long has this issue been happening?
• Do you hold investment accounts at other financial institutions?
  • If so, are you seeing this issue in any of those accounts?
• Do you have more than one Merrill Lynch investment account?
  • If so, are all Merrill Lynch accounts affected, or just one?
• Where is your data file located?
• Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like OneDrive, Dropbox, or Norton?

Hi @Quicken Alyssa,

The issue started in October 2025 when the account moved to Express Web Connect. At that time, it also changed the Tracking Method for the account as Simple - Positions Only as the only supported setting. This is when the issue started to occur.

I should also add that the issue happens only with my Merrill Lynch Benefits Online 401K account and not with any of my Merrill Lynch Investments or Fidelity Investments accounts, which have the Tracking Method as Complete - Positions and Transactions.

The data file is located on my hard drive, and it is also backed up by OneDrive.

Here is a screenshot of the issue, which I have circled in green. If you multiply the shares by 100, the positions and Total Value would be correct.

Thank you for following up with that additional information!

We have had a few others report the same issue you are seeing and the issue has been escalated interanlly. If you would like to contribute to it and be added to it, please go to Help>Report a problem>Send to Quicken.

That will allow you to send over your log files. Once you have sent them over, let me know so I can add them to the ticket.

As a side note, you should remove/exclude your active data file from the OneDrive backup/sync. Allowing this with an active data file can cause damage to the file. It is ok to let your backup files be synced.

I have this exact same issue on Merrill Lynch 401K account. # shares for bonds being under-reported in Quicken by a factor of 100 (decimal point off 2 places).
