Transactions won't download into quicken

Recently, when I try to download transactions, Windows tries to download an installation file. The message says "Windows needs to configure quicken". Then I can't find the file that Windows is looking for. I haven't changed anything, and everything worked two weeks ago.

How are you initiating that download? What specific steps? What are you clicking on?

Because what you're showing doesn't look like any download that I've previously seen.

    Hello @eballing,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I believe what you are describing is currently a Known Issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling the application should resolve the issue.

I had the exact same problem - started after the latest update last week. EZ fix. Download Quicken and install. No need to uninstall; the installation will uninstall your Quicken and install a new Quicken. All your data files are saved and I was error free and ready to go in less than 3 minutes.

Also, the problem scrambled some of my accounts and left me with wrong totals. The re-install fixed all that.
