Automate mobile sync on schedule [Edited]

I use Quicken Classic Mac. I wish to keep the app open on my Mac as I frequently make updates. But automatic backups happen only if I quit the app, and syncing to mobile/web happens only if I trigger a sync manually. My wife watches our finances by looking at Quicken on the Web and wants to see what is happening on a daily basis.

[Removed - Feature request already exists—see Smayer97's comment for link]

Please add a feature to automatically sync to mobile/web on a schedule, not just when manually triggered.

1st request already exists, here, if you want to add a comment there to follow along:

    More Options to Automatic Backups

I do not find an existing entry for the 2nd, so maybe this idea can be re-titled for the sync to Quicken Web.

Clearly, the same triggers for one can be used to trigger the other… @Quicken devs, something to consider.

Also, there was a related idea request to do automatic data downloads/updates at scheduled times, which has long been archived. I leave it here for reference for the mods.

@lksands By leaving Quicken open, you are bypassing a very important security feature of having Quicken generate a backup file every time you quit. Perhaps you remember to manually generate a backup recently but most people don't — and manual backups are not automatically purged as automatic ones are. If you really don't want tot wait the 3-5 seconds it takes to launch Quicken when you want to use it, perhaps once a day you could quit Quicken and immediately relaunch it (e.g. let it launch in the background while you do something else). I've seen too many reports over the years from people who lose work when a problem occurs because they have left Quicken open and don't have a recent enough backup.

I believe that in the previous request for sync on a schedule which is referenced above, it was archived because the developers assessed the request and said they were not planning to implement such a feature. It's just a guess, but my thought was that they didn't want tens or hundreds of thousands of additional hits on their servers every day from people who don't actually use Quicken daily. Of course, things can change with the passage of time, so there's nothing wrong with starting this feature request topic anew now; I was just offering some background.
