considering migrating to mac
Hi,
I am considering migrating to mac. What's the best way to do this. I know the file formats are different so I won't be able to use the same file. Would it be possible to migrate the file over to Mac and then run both systems separately. I am curious how the accounts would update? If I just download say my chase CC transactions on the PC, would I still be able to do that on the Mac. They will be run as 2 separate systems but downloading from the same bank accounts.
Any tips or info for those who have done the migration would help. Would I lose any data?
Thanks

Yes, you can run both systems in parallel. Many who make the conversion do that until they're comfortable with the new system. And, Yes, you can download the same accounts into both.
QMac can read/import your QWin file, but the QMac to Qwin conversion is troubled, so make sure that you keep both up to date until you're comfortable with QMac.

I did just this what, a year ago? Search my posts.
I disliked MAC for the longest time. I still think some foolish choices there. But the more I use it and the less reliable Windows becomes, the more Mac is my go to and likely survivor. I do run both simultaneously. and it is tricky keeping them in sync. But I do. A bunch of hand entries in Windows until the transactions come in and then accept and delete the hand entry "placeholder" if you will. I pay all the bills from Mac.0
