Bank of America Credit Card no longer updating

Hello, I have a Bank of America Visa credit card that I haven't updated/downloaded since June statement. I have a note to say I've used QFX downloads in the past, and attempted to do that. OnlineBoFA says "Quicken file downloads no longer supported. To update your connection method, visit Quicken Support and follow the instructions to enter your Bank of America login credentials."

So, this morning I tried my Bank of America Credit Card update using "Update Now" (Ctrl-Alt-U) - it did nothing. Flashed screen, and then back o the register. Zilch. No error message or recommendation. Tried a couple more times. Same response.

Here is what my configuration is with snapshot

Account Details: Online Service, Online setup "is set up for transaction download"

Financial Institution: Bank of America-All Other States

Connection Method: Web Connect

Seeing the other discussions around, please advise or direct to a FAQ.

I'm a long time Quicken user, however this has taken me over an hour to work through and get to making this post.

    Change your connection with all your Bank of America accounts from Bank of America - All Other States to Bank of America - Quicken (deactivate all accounts, then use Tools / Add Account selecting the new bank name. Carefully LINK all accounts found at the bank to your existing Quicken registers).

    When done use One Step Update to download new transactions.
    After activating the account(s), the first OSU should download 2 - 3 months' worth of transactions. You will have to do some cleanup to eliminate duplicates and fixup everything else.

    QFX file download may still be available at the bank's website, but importing the file is no longer supported.
    If you do happen to have a QFX file with transactions for the missing time period, please let me know. I may have a backdoor process for you …

    ok thanks appreciate it, and thanks for the heads up.

    Will give it a go - hopefully it allows for a range of dates for downloads - but of well. Fixing stuff in Quicken is what prevents me from recommending it to friends. Yes quicken can be made to work, these fixes requires a level of dedication to wanting a good ledger. Oh well!

    I don't have old QFX.

    Thanks again for an answer. Though what a mess sorting it out.

    The "Account Details" tab[Online Service] says "is setup for transaction download" - so not setup for an online service.

    so would seem to be how to change to "Bank of America-Quicken". I couldn't figure it out

    I can go through adding a new account, selecting "Bank of American - Quicken", authorize it with login etc,

    BankOfAMerica asks to share data.

    Then its has "Add Account" and the only action allowed is "Add to Quicken" (and Don't add to Quicen). There isn't any link account

    Then downloaded to new account 357 days.

    Well what a mess. Cleaned it up.
