When will Quicken Classic Starter be able to download Fidelity NetBenefits data directly into my Quicken account via One Step Update? This is getting ridiculous. it can't be that difficult to make this happen. Please provide a reasonable comprehensive update.

Starter does not (never has and likely never will) include investments downloading and tracking. For that you will need to upgrade to Deluxe, Premier or Business & Personal.

It's not my software. This is a users forum and I am a user just like you are. I am not now nor ever have been a Quicken employee.

Starter has always been an edition that is designed more for use as checkbook, savings and credit card registers. As stated in my prior post, Quicken Starter has never had investing capability….not today…not 20 yrs ago. If you were running Quicken 20 yrs ago and had investing capability then you must have been running Quicken Deluxe or higher.

Whether or not Quicken ever will introduce investing functionality in Starter is something I as a user cannot say. But I think it's safe assume that they never will because they have no incentive to do so since they have 3 other editions that offer that functionality already.

You are correct that much of the graphics are pretty much the same as they were 20 yrs ago but the overall functionality, especially for Quicken Deluxe and higher is much improved, especially with regard to Online Services.

Whether or not to upgrade to Deluxe or higher to gain investing functionality is a personal choice matter. You do what you feel is in your best interests. I hope you find the solution that you want and need.

that’s it , squeeze (no force) people into paying your tiered product structure. When I first started using quicken 20 years ago, the product was great. Now it sucks! Graphics are the same as they were 20 years ago and functionality has been removed in leu of higher pricing for what once were included capabilities. If this will never be an option without upgrading and paying more, I will be looking elsewhere for new personal financial options.
