What happened to Bill Pay??

So I go into Quicken to pay a few bills and…. I see my two checking accounts (Truist and Bank Of America) are both enabled for bill pay in the account list.. But when I go to the online center and pull up either bank, there is no option to write checks.

Is this a me issue or an us issue? Did something change?

Based on what you’re describing (specifically referencing the Online Center and the option to write checks), I want to first confirm whether you’re referring to Direct Connect Bill Pay (also known as Bank Bill Pay).

Some financial institutions have discontinued support for Direct Connect, which would cause the Bill Pay option to no longer appear in the Online Center.

To help clarify, could you please confirm:

Whether you were previously using Direct Connect Bill Pay through these accounts
Screenshots of:
- Your Accounts showing Truist and Bank of America are currently still showing as enabled for Bill Pay
- The Online Center, where the option to write checks is missing

Additionally, please let us know:

Where your Quicken data file is stored (local hard drive/C: drive vs. cloud or external storage such as OneDrive, Dropbox, USB, etc.)
When you first noticed this change
Any troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried
Whether there were any recent system or software changes before this started (Quicken or Windows updates, new installations, etc.)

Please note, Bank of America no longer supports Direct Connect, and is likely the reason why you are not seeing it for this financial institution and won't be able to reinstate it.

While Truist does still appear in our financial institution list for Direct Connect under Truist Online Banking - DC, looking at your account internally, we see that your Truist accounts are connected via Express Web Connect under Truist Bank, which would also impact Direct Connect Bill Pay functionality.
