I am unable to automatically download prices for these securities. I tried every permutation of stock/etf symbol and exchange. Can someone advise as to the right symbol and exchange to get the download working. I am using the Canadian version of Quicken :

Financial 15 Split Corp 7.5% CUM preferred shares

Franklin low volatility high dividend index ETF

Global Dividend Growth Split Corp preferred shares

Partners Value Split Corp 4.45% preferred shares

    Hello @ikeses,

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. Are these securities already in your Quicken, but not updating, or are you unable to add them? If they are already in your Quicken, were they previously updating, or have they never worked?

I look forward to your reply!

Preferred shares are frequently problematic requiring some trial and error to find the right symbol for downloading quotes. Coming from the Canadian Quicken and and Canadian exchanges makes the challenge greater.

For my US Quicken, I was able to get TSE:FTN-A to add as a security for the Franklin 15 Split Corp with a current price of 10.65.

Global Dividend Growth might be TSE:GDV-A trading currently at 10.47

TSE:PVS- offers a variety of possibilities.

I have know idea if you (Quicken Canada) will need the TSE: prefix.

A key to managing preferred securities is recognizing that:

    a) Quicken needs a unique name for each security, and

    b) Quicken's lookup does not maintain a unique name between the common and the preferred securities.

Therefore, if you are going to hold two such securities, you may need to add the first, rename it appending common, or non-pref, or something, and then add the second to which I would also append a unique identifier.
