How to get vested but unsold RSUs to show up as income in a budget vs. actual spending report
I have created a report showing the annual difference between what I budgeted last year for each category versus what I actually spent. I want my vested but unsold RSUs from last year to show up as income on the report. In the report I created [Customize —> Accounts] has the RSU account selected (check marked). The Customize —> Categories has RSUs selected. In brokerage account for the RSUs, when my shares vested, the transaction action is "Shares added". However, the RSUs do not show up in any of the income categories. How do I get the RSUs to show up in an income category?

It's been quite a while since I played around with RSUs in Quicken, (having never actually had employment where RSUs were part of the compensation package), but my recollection was that but setting up RSUs using the RSU "wizard" resulted in each vesting event creating an "income" transaction of some sort using a "compensation" Category.
The vesting event is completely and totally independent of what you do with the stock. If you keep all the stock the compensation is calculated at (# of shares) x (per share FMV). If you sell some or all of the stock at vesting, the compensation is calculated in the exact same way. (Any same-day sale might create some small amount of ST Capital gain if you don't get the exact same price as the employer used in their calculation of compensation.)
So I'd think that unless you're NOT using the RSU wizard or something has changed with the wizard since I last played around with it you'd pick up the compensation income at vesting that way. The event of actually receiving the stock into the brokerage account is simply a Transfer of shares from the RSU Account in Quicken to the Brokerage Account in Quicken, there's no income associated with that.
Are you not using the RSU wizard or has something changed and the compensation event isn't being created by the wizard?
