Anyone Else Experiencing a Broken 'Create a year-end archive' feature?

Unlike all my experiences since 2016, the "Backup or Copy File > Create a year-end archive" feature is now absolutely BROKEN at this time.

I have used this successfully every January since 2017, intentionally keeping my Quicken performant by leaving the last year's data and forward in the 'current file' and having all the data that's older than one year dropped into an archive.

This year, as soon as I choose the 'I only want transaction* in my current data file starting with this date' to be 1/1/2025, so that the 2024 data in the file would archive off and leave me a current file with one year of data already in it (2025), I instead see that the field below it for 'This archive will contain transactions up to and including' greys out BUT STAYS AT 12/31/2025, which is entirely incorrect!

The result is an archive file that is literally all of 2024 AND 2025, and in the current file, all of the 2024 transactions REMAIN, despite the very explicit choice in the first field to only retain 1/12025 and beyond.

This has never been broken for me before: I have a complete set of one year archive files going from 2016 through to 2023, all made in exactly the same way using this feature successfully in years past: chop off the oldest year into an archive, leave one year of data alone.

YES, all my accounts are reconciled, NO I do not have any uncleared transactions except for the handful of latest 2026 ones. I don't use investments etc.— just a simple savings and checking account, and again, I have used this feature every January since 2017 with no issues!!

This is extremely frustrating and a terrible regression error.
