I have four accounts for inherited IRAs held at Capital Group. I have been tracking these in Quicken for close to 20 years. Each holds only one security, but they are not set up as Single Mutual Fund accounts. I vaguely remember an issue with CG that caused me to track them separately. One of these accounts is not allowing cash transactions or cash in the Quicken account. Looking at the activity, it appears this started in July 2025. Sale transactions prior to July are Sold, followed by Withdrawx. Since July, I see only SoldX.
I can't enter a sale with the proceeds to be added to the account's cash balance. When I chose Update Cash Balance, I got the error message that I can't do that in a SMF account. I have confirmed the SMF is set to No in the Account Details. I tried changing that to Yes and closing the Account Details box. I tried Update Cash Balance again. Same error message (not surprising). When I reopened Account Details, the SMF was set to No. I am not having this problem with the other three accounts.
