Crash when entering credit card charge

I am using Quicken 2014 Home and Business. I have a credit card account that I enter charges manually. There are 7829 entries in the account. Today I entered an amount which would be 7830 entries. When I hit enter the program crashes and closes. When I reopen it crashes the moment I choose the account in the account bar. All other accounts work perfectly. I have tried restoring to an earlier date when it was working, and then making the missing entries. It still crashes on entry 7830. HELP, anyone.

Assuming that you are not running out of disk space, I'd recommend the following actions:
    • Run BOTH Validate and Supervalidate to attempt to repair your Quicken data file.
    • If nothing helps, try to restore your Quicken data file from an Automatic or Manual backup taken just prior to the problems first occurring. https://www.quicken.com/support/how-backup-or-restore-your-quicken-data

    Validate and Supervalidate instructions
First save a backup file prior to performing these steps
    Validate:
    • Click File / File Operations
    • Select Validate and Repair File...
    • Select Validate File
    • If the data file contains investment accounts also select "Rebuild investing lots".
    • If you suspect that a damaged Quotes Price History causes your problems, also select "Correct investing price history" functions "Delete" or "Repair and Rebuild".
    • Click OK
    • Review the Data Log. Anything interesting in there, worthwhile posting here?
    • Close Quicken, leave it closed for about 30 secs
    • Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

    Super Validate:
    • Click File / File Operations
    • Press and hold both CTRL and Shift keys while you click Validate and Repair File...
    • Select Supervalidate File
    • Click OK
    • Review the Data Log. Anything interesting in there, worthwhile posting here?
    • Close Quicken, leave it closed for about 30 secs
    • Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

Have you tried validating your data file? That would be my first suggestion.

File > Validate and Repair File > Validate File

    Quicken user since 1995.
Current Quicken for Windows subscription user. I usually upgrade to the latest version about 1 week after full release.
