online balance Quicken download does not match bank balance [Edited]

Online balance in the register does not match balance at the bank. There are no pending transactions, and the register balance matches the bank balance. It appears that the bank balance is not down loading to my online balance in Quicken. All the transactions are cleared in Quicken. This is not happening to all bank accounts at this institution. I have tried deactivating and activating and also validating file.

    I have the same problem with downloading IRA portfolio view of balances from my Fidelity accounts! The Fidelity roster of investments is correct, it includes cash holdings. However, the listing of cash in the account's portfolio view is duplicated by adding money market fund purchase transactions of the same amount in the listing of investments. This creates an overstatement of the dollar amount in the portfolio's value. I spoke with Quicken via phone about this a few weeks ago…agent seemed disinterested in pursuing a resolution of this phenomena that apparently affects other users.

    Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information:

    1. Which financial institution is this happening with?
    2. Which connection type are you using with this financial institution (Direct Connect, Express Web Connect, etc.)?
      1. You can check the connection type by navigating to Tools>Account List and looking at the Transaction Download column next to the problem account(s). transaction download.png
    3. Is the opening balance for the account correct?
      1. While it is uncommon, there is a known issue with the opening balance changing, especially after deactivating/reconnecting or resetting an account that is connected using Express Web Connect+.
