Keeps deleting online accounts!!!
I am extremely frustrated. Recently I contacted you to tell you that on at least 4 times already while downloading my accounts updates, I am met with a message that all my online account had been deleted. So on 4 different occasions I have had to re-authorize all my online accounts 4 times already and yesterday I had to do it again. This is getting extremely frustrating. It seems to happen when I restore my online backup onto 2 other computers that I have and then do an online update. All my online accounts are deleted and I must re-authorize all over again. This is extremely frustrating and I am considering going with a different application if this is not fixed.
The solution given to me previously was to make a backup copy and create a template and re-authorize the new backup account created from the template which is exactly what I did. All the accounts updated just fine. Then when I got home I completely deleted my Quicken program from my other 2 laptops and re-installed from scratch and downloaded my most recent backup from the cloud which it did just fine. However, as soon as I tried to do my online updates, the same thing happened; all my online accounts had been deleted!!!!
I am getting sick and tired of this. This is the 5th time!!!!

I agree! Having the very same issues as you. I have no idea why Quicken can't or won't solve this problem.

I am glad to see I am not the only one having this problem. I hope they come up with a solution quickly or I may have to look for an alternative that provides better results and not continually have this problem. I would appreciate any updates. Thank you.

Same issue here. I am on third time and this is getting absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe 15 years later this application couldn't mature.
Quicken support, would you care to acknowledge and address this issue?

AFAIK, this is a fairly recent security requirement. When you restore backup files to this or another computer, Quicken now drops all online connected accounts and requires that you reauthorize them, to keep the Quicken servers in sync with the restored data file.
Routinely sharing a data file between 2 or more computers does not appear to be part of the design of Quicken.1 -
If this new feature is true it is very erratic because each time it happens different accounts get disconnected, not all. Also sometimes when the checking account has to be reauthorized it changes the initial opening balance thus ending up with wrong final account total. To me it seems more like a bug than a feature

Please read this discussion for more on changing Opening Balance transactions and a way to avoid the problem:
Account balances change if I use Mobile Sync — Quicken
In a nutshell: Don't ping pong your data files between computers. Don't use Sync to cloud until further notice.

I don't use mobile sync. Also I've been able to move data files to my laptop for more than 15 years - until last week. Without the ability to take my Quicken files with me when I travel Quicken isn't much use to me
