Unable to open a QFX file from US Bank

I am on a Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.3 using Quicken Deluxe ver 8.4.2. I have been downloading transactions for years via Web Connect without any issues. Last week, I downloaded a QFX file from US Bank, and when I opened it in Quicken, a message appeared stating "unable to read the selected Web Connect file. Contact financial institution". This message only occurs with US Bank transactions. Unable to get help from US Bank

    Thank you for sharing your experience and reporting the issue you are running into.

    A couple of things you can try:

    • Try downloading the file again.
    • Try downloading the file from a different web browser.
    • Check out our support article for Web Connect Troubleshooting.

    Screenshots of the error you are seeing may be helpful as well. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

    In general, we do refer to the bank for issues with QFX files, because the file comes from their website. However, if you have already followed the steps in the linked support article, and contacted the bank and were unable to get anywhere with them, please contact Quicken Support directly. They may be able to process an escalation if needed.

    I finally connected with US Bank support who said it was a known issue. The problem has been identified and a fix is being put in place today

    I’ve been having the same issue for the last three weeks or so and never got an answer from US Bank so glad to hear you got through, but as of today, 3 days after your post, still not working.

    I called USBank again today. They said that the first fix was not working, but that they have found the problem and it should be repaired by 10:00pm CST this evening (1/30/26). I sure hope that is true.
