Can't login while installing Quicken 2016 Deluxe on a new computer
I've installed Quicken 2016 on a new computer. When I try to login with my old login, from the old computer, I get a message that the url it's going to can't be found. Needless to say, this stops me from using it.
Is there a way around this so I can use my program?
If I'm forced to use the subscription version. Will it accept my data? Or Import from my backup file?
Thanks.

2016 was the last Intuit version for Quicken. It sounds like you used an Intuit CD to load the software and that you are being prompted to enter your login information using an Intuit URL. But all of the Intuit Quicken servers were long ago decommissioned which is why you are getting that error message.
Unfortunately, there really is no workaround to get your 2016 software working, again, unless you had converted your log in back in 2016 from Intuit to Quicken. If you have a Quicken.com online account, then perhaps you did do that conversion but you will first need to update to the last 2016 release patch before attempting to do so. You can download the last 2016 release patch at . (2016 patches are no longer available for downloading from Quicken.com nor from Intuit.com. The link I provided you here is to a website that was set up and is still being managed by a long-time Quicken user who actively posts in this Community so it is a safe site and safe download.)
Even if you did do the conversion back in 2016 and have the last 2016 patch installed there is another issue that might prevent you from signing into the software with your Quicken ID and PW. A few years ago Quicken changed something in the configuration login requirements meaning most people with 2014-2017 softwares are not going to be able to install them and get them to work. There is an outside chance that you might be able to do this on your new computer if you still have your old computer and can access the hard drive on it. You can read up on that process here: .
If nothing in the link helps you to solve the issue, then your only option is to place an order for Subscription and then download and install it. The installation process will uninstall your 2016 version and install the latest version of Subscription. And, yes, it will be able to convert and read your 2016 data file.

Thank you so much for your prompt answer. It answered all my questions. I tried the links and I sstill can't get 2016 to work.
Looks like I'll have to subscribe. I'm glad to know that my old data will transfer.

You are welcome. Since you do not currently have a Quicken Subscription you will be eligible for a new subscriber discount which sometimes is as high as 50%.
If Quicken.com does not currently offer that discount, do an online search of reputable retailers like NewEgg.com, Amazon, Sam's Club, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Office Depot and others. They can sometimes beat the price that Quicken.com is offering. Most of these retailers will not send you a CD with the software. They will instead provide you with an activation code. Then you can download the Quicken software from Quicken.com for free from . There is only one QWin software. When you install it and enter the activation code it will tell the software which edition (features) are to be turned on.
