Using Parallels on a Mac to run Quicken for Windows
I converted from running Q for Windows for 30 years to Quicken Mac in October of 2025.
There were a number of conversion issues / errors I had to resolve . Q for Mac put out an update 10 days ago and the Net worth report that you can run , by quarter , month , year , was significantly off . A number of users have reported same issues and the Quicken Community has responded that there may be Buy transactions , with splits that I would manually need to change to reflect accurate data .
My questions
- Did Q for Windows put out a similar update which created errors on reports ?
- I know Parallels would let me run a Virtual Machine on my Mac Air and will be able to run Q for Windows . Like to know those who run Parallels on a Mac on those who have converted to go back to Q Windows your thoughts ?

Hello @jjrichards,
Thank you for reaching out! I can see that you asked similar questions back in November. A couple of the responses to that previous post are applicable here:
Please keep in mind that any time you are converting your file, there is a chance of conversion problems. It's always a good idea to retain a backup so that you can reconvert if needed.
I hope this helps!
