American Education Services error FDP-530

My connection to American Education Services (AES) had been working fine until two weeks ago. I had been getting an FDP-501 error but in the last few days the error code is now FDP-530. When logging directly into AES through their website I see that they have changed and enhanced their login security. I tried entering my login credentials again in Quicken and still get an error message (see screenshot).

I sent a report to Quicken support. I'm using Quicken Classic Deluxe for Macintosh, v.8.4.2.

    Hello @Jeff Miller,

Thanks for reaching out with these details!

The FDP-530 error generally indicates that Quicken is being blocked from connecting on the financial institution’s side, which aligns with the recent security changes you’re seeing on AES’s website. Re-entering credentials in Quicken typically won’t resolve this type of error if the connection itself is being restricted.

You can review more details in this FDP-530 support article, but in short, the recommended next step is to wait 24 hours and try again. If the error persists after that, reaching out to Quicken Support is the correct path, as this type of issue may require log review by our team.

    Thank you!
