Did Quicken change how Fidelity tracks cash in core accounts?

Note sure at what stage you meant deleting of them.
Personally, I, before deleting them in the downloaded transactions, edit them to "Sale" in the register, while they momently appear there. Note the Edit button there at the transaction line, while reviewing/accepting, or not, CvrShrt(s).
That saves time. Then, there isn't a need to manually create a new transaction, Sale, in the register that should match data, share qty and their price, provided in the Download window next to CvrShrt(s) transactions. After the above is done, I delete CvrShrt(s) in that window, to accept all the remaining transactions and, consequently, click Done.

I delete the downloaded transactions without accepting them.

I also get these CvrShort transactions. The two I've gotten so far are against my core money market, and they are for amounts that just don't match anything else in the register.

I track my core MMF as a security. Today, I downloaded a few stock dividends in my Fidelity account, which I take as cash. For the first time ever, it also downloaded the corresponding Buy of the core MMF. In the past, I had to enter these Buys manually, so I'm pleased to see that they are now part of the download.

Piling on. I'm not yet even sure what I might document for Report a Problem yet, as I'd rather do so if I can find some pattern in what I'm seeing. I've two Fidelity IRAs in which I trade options (spreads and covered calls, which I've been having to fix buy transactions with cvrshrt for months). Today, downloading transactions that occurred since my prior download a week ago, I'm getting a bunch of CvrShrt in both Fidelity IRA, where the security is FIDELITY GOVERNMENT MONEY MARKET, price 1.00 for these. I download at least weekly, and I found some going back into mid-January (a month ago). The price makes sense, but the CvrShrt doesn't. It does sounds "sweep-like." The transaction amounts mostly match other transactions to the penny. I feel that if I skip all these, manually accept all others one by one that I'll end up with the right holdings. That was my workaround in the account for which I had only 2-3 real transactions over the past week.
I will report something. I just don't have the time and mental energy to do this right now.

"I delete the downloaded transactions without accepting them."
All of them? Why would you do that?

@SomebodyInGNV … I meant that I delete the unexpected CvrShrt transactions for money market. When I do that, but accept the remaining, my account positions remain correct.
I've since found that this was already reported, and that there's a ticket #12226405/CTP-16265 opened for it. See:

After download is complete, I delete CvrShrt transactions instead of accepting them which allows my Fidelity accounts to remain in balance.

Ooof…this is getting exhausting.
In the process of deleting the CvrShrt transactions…I am seeing new ReinvInt popping up. Isn't this the original issue that started this fiasco last fall?
Long time user and fan, but this may be the last straw. I spend more time correcting Quicken than getting any value from it, and I pay to do so.

Question on the 2/20/26 resolution… If the Online Services tab in Account Details has the "Treat this Money Market as cash" option already set on for SPAXX and FDRXX, then is it necessary to also set the “Never interpret downloaded money market funds as cash" option in Edit > Preferences > Downloaded Transactions in order to eliminate CvrShrt transaction downloads? Or, is it OK to leave that option's checkbox unchecked?

Yes— I don't understand the semantics. If you're treating the core money market fund as cash, why would you enable "never interpret downloaded money market funds as cash"? It seems like that setting contradicts what you want to do…

Agree… it’s a head scratcher. Makes no sense. Frankly this is all getting a bit frustrating. I don’t trust it anymore. I’ve taken to reconciling account balances every week to make sure they are correct. 😔
