Restore back up Windows version R65.29

I just had an instance where I mischaracterized a downloaded transaction and I thought it would be easier to just open a back up that I saved the day before.
The back up opened properly and when I updated my accounts, each and every one needed to be added to quicken again. The screen said this happens if I am using a restored file.
What is the point of saving a backup if I have to add each account back into quicken. Some of the accounts actually repeated years of transactions already downloaded that I had to delete.
I've restored backups before and never had this happen but now I wonder why I should bother
