Quicken freezes when reauthorizing Discover Card

I am also caught up in this Discover CARD re-authorization issue [Edited - Language]. Each Discover CARD account wanted to recertify. As prep, I disconnected the existing setup, and now when I try to perform the "Setup Online" Quicken simply locks up after the initial popup screen, which it normally shows you the "banking choices"… never appears. I've restarted Quicken, run validate, super-validate etc… to no avail. All the CARD setups had been working just fine before they started this re-authorization mess.
The only way to recover is to KILL Quicken in Task Manager!
Since this problem appears to be different than what's posted above, IDK if I should start a new "Discover" problem thread or put in here.. I chose the latter.
Update: I figured out my issue. I forgot to follow my own script. When I disconnected the Discover Card account BEFORE re-authorizing, I forgot to manually clear the Account fields for "Financial Institution" and "Account Number" on the Edit > Accounts > General setup page for each account. After clearing both fields and saving, the Discover recertification process proceeded as normal. I completed the re-authorizations without issue or without Quicken locking up solid and having to be killed by Task Manager.

IMHO, when we disconnect any account, Quicken should ask or automatically clear those fields. IDK why it does not as this has burned a lot of folks in the past.
