Fidelity FIDRX mutual fund- Securities mismatch

Question

On October 17 2025 the merger of Fidelity Select Industrial's Mutual Fund (Advisor class), FCYIX into FIDRX Mutual fund (retail class) took place.  When I download from Fidelity I get a Securities comparison mismatch.   How do I resolve this?

If I look at the Quicken Security list FCYIX has a CUSIP ID, but the new fund FIDRX does not.    As you know I cannot edit/move the CUSIP ID.   What is the solution.

Thanks @q_lurker.  Appreciate you getting back to me.  Your suggestions worked, the mismatch issue is resolved.   Here are some details:

I left the Remove and ADD transactions as is.  Note that I had added four ADD transactions (New Retail FIDRX) and one REMOVE transaction(ADV fund FCYIX) as I wanted to retain the dividend history.

I changed the name of the ADV fund(FCYIX) adding the ticker to the first five characters.  I had changed the ticker name earlier, I had added characters to the end of the fund name!

I unchecked the “Match with online security setting” in the ADV fund FCYIX.  The New Retail FIDRX setting was greyed out.

I then did a One Step update, no mismatch warning.  FIDRX updated and a CUSIP ID was assigned.

In all likelihood, I would stick with one Remove and one Add.  I would have the basis of the Add equal the basis of the Removed Shares.

I would make sure the two securities were unique in name within the first 16 or so characters.  Others have reported Quicken getting info crossed if the security names were too similar.  A common approach some use is to start the security name with the ticker symbol.

I would edit security details to uncheck the Matched with online security setting if checked for either.  I would then Reconcile shares for that account which ‘should’ let you get the mismatch cleared.

Thanks @NotACPA.  Appreciate the prompt reply.  Yes, this is an IRA account.   When this transaction went down in October I did a REMOVE of the ADV class (FCYIX) and an ADDITION of the new retail class fund FIDRX.

I will change that to a SELL transaction followed by a BUY and see if that resolves the mismatch issue

The CUSIP ID did not change from FCYIX to FIDRX,  that may prevent this from resolving.
