Quicken downloads from Fidelity for Cash account that is setup as Checking

I recently started using Fidelity Cash Account as my main checking account. I have two account entries in Quicken - one in the investing section for the account, but in the account settings, I selected "show cash in a checking account" which adds a checking account in Quicken. This is good.

However, I have not been able to get Quicken/Fidelity to download the transactions for this "pseudo-checking" account. Quicken shows the online balance correctly but never downloads any transactions. I've tried removing and re-adding the cash management account in the Fidelity / Quicken linkage … this makes no difference (the dialog box says that the account is linked to an existing account in Quicken, which looks correct).

Has anyone gotten this feature work? (i.e. getting downloads to this 'checking-like' account) ?

You can't directly set-up that pseudo-account for download. Instead, any cash transactions in the associated NON-RETIREMENT brokerage account should be automatically moved, by Q, into the pseudo-account.

SO, are there cash transactions showing in the brokerage account that aren't transfers, such as DivX or IntIncX, etc? Below the investment list/register are you showing a "Cash Bal" field with a value? Is there a value in the checking acccount?

And, I've used that feature for many, many years. Perhaps 30+

There are no transactions being downloaded either in the "pseudo-checking" account or the investment account that is the 'parent' of the checking account.

By "no transactions downloading", I'm assuming you mean no investment transactions either. Correct?

If so, that's a very different issue than you originally posted. But, there's another thing to check.

Do TOOLS, Account List and click EDIT next to the investment account. Which option, Simple or Complete, shows as the Tracking Method in the lower left corner of the dialog?

The option selected is "Complete - Positions and Transactions"

And yes, correct - the Investment Account has zero entries and no downloads and the Checking Account doesn't have any downloads.
