I have > 1,000 transactions downloaded from Vanguard where the value of the Memo field has been repeated like this:
DIVIDEND PAYMENTDIVIDEND PAYMENT
DIVIDEND REINVESTMENTDIVIDEND REINVESTMENT
LONG TERM CAPITAL GAINLONG TERM CAPITAL GAIN
SHORT TERM CAPITAL GAINSSHORT TERM CAPITAL GAINS
This BUG has been noticed (but never escalated) by some others on this forum:
I think that no other financial institution I use has ever done this.
So, the BUG is surely with Vanguard, and not with Quicken.
The only solution is someone at Quicken needs to see this post and report it to Vanguard and get them to fix their BUG.
Quicken: please let us know that you have reached out to Vanguard.
