Specific category for specific downloads (Q Mac)

What do I do so that every time I change a category on the payee in Quicken, it's categorized the same way when it downloads? I'm doing my taxes, and I want to be sure that every time payments download, there is a specific lock-in category for specific Payments.

You'll want to have a QuickFill transaction for each of the payees. You can create them manually in the Payees & Rules Window, QuickFIll Rules tab. Click the plus sign at the bottom, enter the info and check the Use This As Default and Lock This Rule checkboxes.

You can also have QuickFill rules created automatically by going to Quicken > Settings > Register and check the box at the bottom of that window to automatically create a rule when you edit a transaction. You can have it save all fields, or just the category using the associated popup menu.
