    Hello @JQReilly,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I reviewed your account internally and saw that you’re using Quicken Classic for Windows, so I’ve moved your post to the appropriate Windows category (it was originally posted in a Mac category).

Are you referring to the “Validate and Repair” function? If so, here are the steps (please save a backup before performing any troubleshooting):

    Validate:

    1. File
    2. Validate and Repair File... image.png
    3. Validate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 30 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then please disregard the instructions to Super Validate.

    Super Validate:

    1. File
    2. Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
    3. Super Validate File image.png
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 30 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

However, could you elaborate a bit and provide details on exactly what you mean by “acting funky”? Specific examples will help us give you the best guidance.

    Thank you!
