Fidelity "Short Term" and Cash information is incorrect

I've had this issue with Quicken (Classic Deluxe for Mac) for years but didn't complain about it because it just impacts minimal monthly interest. I have two different money market accounts, one that is a "Core" account, and another that Fidelity calls a "Short-Term" fund. Quicken accurately downloads the transactions from both of these, but in Quicken's Portfolio view/Portfolio Value data, balances are wrong. In my case, the Short Term fund didn't appear in the Portfolio window at all. (It used to be there, don't know when it stopped.)

I just decided to "Add Account" in Quicken to see if I could fix this, and it did add the "Short-Term" fund to the Portfolio window, though the balance is wrong. (I imagine I'll have to fix this manually.). But "Cash" is wildly wrong.

Up until September 2019, (!) Fidelity would download two transactions into the "Short-Term" fund each month: a "Dividend Income" transaction with the Memo "DIVIDEND RECEIVED", followed by a "Buy" transaction with the memo "REINVESTMENT".

Dividend Income to the Cash account has always carried the TYPE "Dividend Income" and the MEMO "DIVIDEND RECEIVED". Since the October 2025 download, the MEMO for these transactions has been blank. (inconsequential to me, but may help to debug this).

Hope this helps fix the problem with Fidelity downloads. If I recall correctly, years ago the cash account was treated like every other fund in a brokerage. I'd prefer it that way.

    Hello @Dtinen,

Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, there is a known issue with the cash balance not reflecting correctly for some customers. This is caused by some core funds being represented in Quicken differently from how Fidelity represents them (for instance, a fund that is cash on Fidelity's side showing as a holding in Quicken, or vice versa). The issue is being tracked in ticket CTP-14526.

Since the October 2025 download, the MEMO for these transactions has been blank.

Did the MEMO disappear after migrating the account(s) from Direct Connect to Quicken Connect (OAuth)?

Up until September 2019, (!) Fidelity would download two transactions into the "Short-Term" fund each month: a "Dividend Income" transaction with the Memo "DIVIDEND RECEIVED", followed by a "Buy" transaction with the memo "REINVESTMENT".

What changed after 2019? It would have been connected via Direct Connect during that timeframe; did you do any troubleshooting with Fidelity when you noticed the change?

I look forward to your response!
